Yearbook Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Can you design our yearbook?
Answer: We would be delighted to design your yearbook, there will be a cost for this service but it does allow you to have peace of mind that you can carry on with your work knowing the design is taken care of. Complete the quote request form and we will let you know the costs involved.
Question: What is the minimum and maximum page count I can have in our yearbook?
Answer: For Hardback and Softback books 30 pages is our minimum recommended page count. You can have up to 500 pages in both of these options. Booklet Yearbooks can have 12 to 60 pages and have to be multiples of 4 pages. We recommend that booklets with more than 60 pages are switched to softcover yearbooks for a better finish.
Question: What format do I send my yearbook to you in?
Answer: If you are designing your yearbook then we will require a high-resolution PDF with 3mm bleed and crop marks. You can use packages like InDesign, Quark, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft PowerPoint to complete the design. If you are struggling then please get in touch, we will be happy to advise / help.
Question: How do we create the cover?
Answer: See our guide to creating the cover on our web site. However, if you are finding it a challenge then we can help you along, just get in touch and we will advise what we need to help.
Question: What sizes can I have?
Answer: The most common yearbooks are A4 Portrait but we also print A5 and 210mm square. We can produce the yearbook in landscape format if that is a preferred option.
Question: How do we get the print files or artwork to you?
Answer: Create an account on the web site and you will get access to a file uploader.
Question: Do you send out a printed proof of the yearbook?
Answer: Printed proofs are available, please get in touch for more details.
Question: How quickly can you deliver?
Answer: As soon as you approve the PDF proof of your yearbook we will confirm a despatch date, this is normally within 2 weeks. However, if there is an exact date the yearbooks are needed by then you can advise us and we will ensure that date is met.
Question: How long should I allow?
Answer: This really depends on whether you are designing the yearbooks and who needs to approve them but a guide would be to allow 4 weeks from when you want the yearbooks.
Question: How much help will you give us?
Answer: We will give as much telephone and email assistance as you need free of charge.
Question: Are there any restrictions on the content of our yearbook?
Answer: This is your book so your design, your content. All we ask is that a member of the school staff has proof read and approved the final design prior to printing.
Question: Does the price include delivery and VAT?
Answer: Yearbooks are not subject to VAT and all other product prices are displayed inclusive of VAT. We do not charge you delivery.
Question: Is there a minimum number of yearbooks we have to order?
Answer: Yes, 10.
Question: How do we pay for our yearbooks?
Answer: When you advise us of the final quantity of books to print we will issue the school with an invoice to pay.
